Our beginnings
Green Home Energy Solutions was set up in August 2008 as a trading name for Durrant Electrical and Mechanical Ltd.
Based in Norwich and covering the east of England, the company was set up to specialise in Photovoltaic Solar Systems using over 23 years of electrical experience in domestic, commercial & industrial backgrounds, to help our established customer portfolio save energy and reduce their carbon emissions.
Since then the company has expanded to include a range of renewable products including Biomass boilers, Air Source Heat Pumps and Battery storage systems.
Our latest venture is the addition of The Wood Pellet Delivery Company. Our unique selling point is an anti-dust pellet, this is crucial for the good working order of your biomass boiler.
Kerry Durrant
Kerry Durrant is the MD of the company, and a qualified electrician.
It was a trip to Austria that inspired Kerry to look into the option of Solar PV. He is an innovative thinker and sees opportunities and improvement that can be made.
This skill has enabled him to grow the business and diversify into other areas, which has meant the business has weathered many storms and stands the test of time - unlike many other businesses in the same field.
We were one of the first MCS registered companies in East Anglia.
Debbie Durrant
Debbie Durrant is the Director of Green Home Energy Solutions.
She left a successful 23 year career with Aviva as the business that initially ran from one of their bedrooms expanded. She has used her administration and management experience, and customer service ethic to full advantage.
The customer is at the heart of everything we do. Debbie is passionate about making and saving customers money, and also about being green.
Debbie and Kerry built an Eco House which won a CPRE award.
