Ground Mounted PV Systems - Great Idea

This month we have installed two ground mounted PV systems.  For one customer we installed a 10kW PV system accompanied by a single Tesla Powerwall 2 battery storage system.  The customer has a thatched property so roof mounted PV panels were not an option.  The customer had some cleared ground so we installed the PV system there for him.   The panels are Trina Vertex Black Frames. There were some shading implications from an oak tree so the customer opted for a SolarEdge system.  This can compensate for any shading allowing each panel to always produce their optimum irrespective of what the other panels are doing.  We have also upgraded the cabling so that the customer can, in the future, have up to two more Tesla Powerwall batteries and an electric vehicle charge point if he so desires.

The second ground mount was much larger.  The customer has high energy consumption due to having a ground source heat pump.  The electricity supply to the property is 3-phase.  We installed a 30kW PV system using Canadian Solar Black Frame panels and a Solis 3-phase inverter.  The panels are on a Radax frame.  The customer also has 4 Tesla Powerwall batteries which allow for a total output of 20kW.
