Solar PV and Tesla Battery Storage Systems in Swannington

What we did:

We installed an 8.30kWp solar PV system comprising 20 panels using on-roof mounting.  We've fitted bird guard around the panels to prevent pigeons and other birds from nesting underneath and causing damage.  We've also fitted a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery with Backup Gateway.  The combined systems will reduce the customer's electricity bills and the customer should recoup the cost of the PV installation in approximately 5 years.  

At some times of the year, PV systems generate more electricity than the customer can use.  This electricity can be stored on a battery and then used at night when the PV system is not able to generate anything.  This helps reduce the customer's need to import electricity from the grid, resulting in further savings on the electricity bill.
